Delo Group launches deep-water berth at NUTEP terminal
MOSCOW, Sep 3 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Delo Group has launched a U.S. $125 million deep-water berth at its NUTEP container terminal, expanding its capacity to 700,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), the group’s subsidiary DeloPorts said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Construction of the berth was finished in July 2019, and the launching ceremony was held after completion of commissioning works for hi-tech equipment of ZPMC company that was delivered and installed at NUTEP terminal in the spring of 2019,” the statement read.
The 15-meter-deep berth can service ocean container carriers with capacities of up to 10,000 TEUs.
“Construction and the launch of the new deep-water berth at NUTEP container terminal is one of the group’s largest projects over the past years. The combined amount of investment stood at $125 million,” the company said quoting CEO Igor Yakovenko.
